We enjoyed Christmas Eve Dinner with the Wiedrick Family and then the children made sugar cookies to leave out for Santa. We sang some songs and read a few stories and the children helped act out the Nativity Story by setting up our Little People Nativity. After saying goodbye to our friends, we got on our Christmas jammies and had our Christmas Eve Devotional. Daddy had asked everyone to prepare a song to sing. Mommy sang Silent Night, Daddy sang Oh Holy Night, Maya sang Away in a Manger, and Molly sang Jingle Bells. We read a few more special stories and watched the Nativity movie and enjoyed a nice, quiet evening snuggled on the couch. It really was such a wonderful Christmas Eve! And then the girls set out the cookies they made and Maya set out a picture she had drawn for Santa and the girls climbed into bed. Maya fell asleep faster than I think she has ever - she knew the fast she fell asleep, the faster Christmas morning would come.
