We surprised the girls with a little trip to Disney World this week.
We had so. much. fun.
We were there for 2 days, and each day was as magical as it could be.
We weren't sure what to expect exactly, since this was our first time going to Disney as parents, but we couldn't have been more pleased. We definitely did this trip as low budget as possible... totally doable and worth it in my opinion. On the very first day, we arrived at the Magic Kingdom before the gates opened. I was literally in tears as we counted down with Mickey to open the gates! So magical, people!
Every corner we turned we were met with a parade or a princess or a show!
The girls loved every attraction, especially everything in Fantasy Land.
Maya was tall enough to ride all the big kid rides, and the new fast pass system was absolutely convenient to use and so we barely waited in any lines.
Moments I'll never forget:
-Counting down to open the gates
-Mallory giving Minnie Mouse a "big squeeze!"
-Maya's face on Splash Mountain and her saying over and over, "What goes up, must come down!"
-Meeting Ariel, Cinderella (So magical!), Rapunzel, Belle, and Tinkerbelle
-The Main Street Electrical Parade
-It's a Small World
-Belle leaving trinkets for the girls at our hotel room
-The Dole Whip
-Maya wanted to ride Splash Mountain and the Haunted Mansion over and over
-Mallory wanted to ride Alladin's Carpet Ride and she also loved Goofy's "fast train"
-Mallory falling asleep the second the castle show ended at night
With Orlando being a short drive from Charleston, I'm hoping we can go again sometime in during the next four years. Words literally cannot express how much fun we had.
My only regret was not taking our nicer camera! Next time, I definitely will!

We were so there at the same time!!
I LOVE this.
For six months after we moved back to Utah, I would cry every time a disneyland commercial would come on. Even after visiting for there 3 years, it still felt magical every time!
SO FUN! Man, I almost teared up reading about YOU tearing up at Mickey's countdown. Disney is a blast as a kid and as an adult...but that's got nothing on Disney as a parents of small kids.
