Once upon a time, four mommies left their children and husbands at home, to meet for a weekend getaway in New York City. They walked and walked and walked. They ate some very yummy treats. They saw Newsies on Broadway and swooned over the one and only Jack Kelly. They explored the MET and felt so cultured afterwards. They rode in taxis. They talked until late at night. A few of them ate too many treats and didn't feel so well. They walked several blocks in a downpour to find that special spot, just to find out... it no longer existed. They updated their Tiffany's wish list. They visited the world's largest candy counter - and it didn't disappoint. They slept in. They didn't look like tourists one little bit. They walked some more. They explored Chelsea Market and the High Line. They bought souvenirs for the kids they had left behind. They laughed and laughed and laughed some more. They loved all the blossoms and tulips and greenery that a New York City Spring has to offer. They got sick on the elevators. They tipped too much... or maybe not quite enough. They got caught in a downpour right in the middle of Times Square. They went the wrong way a few times, and had to turn around. They saw a few characters around that crazy city. They took pictures with the cast from Newsies and got their autographs - a highlight of their lives! They had so much fun, and they want to go back and do it all over again.
At least, I do!
