Moving Day

It's been a few weeks since we actually loaded up our moving truck, and yet looking at these pictures today, I'm in tears all over again! We had so much help that we were so so so grateful for.
We had originally planned to have ABF deliver our truck to the Crossett's house around the corner, since they had told us our driveway would be too steep for the truck to get up. The morning ABF delivered the truck, I got up the nerve to ask the driver to come over to our house and just double check. He was the nicest man and told me he would give it a shot. If it hadn't been pouring rain, he just might have been able to get all the way up. However, because of all the water, the tires would start spinning at the same spot each time he tried. Ultimately, he left the truck at a slant in our driveway, which was awfully precarious, but so helpful when it came to loading everything up!

Diana and Jocelyn were wonderful and helped watch the girls while we loaded up!
Though of course Mallory helped a little bit.
We had prayed and prayed and prayed for the forecasted rain to stop, and it did just that about 15 minutes before everyone showed up to help. What a blessing!
Our friends had everything loaded into the truck within no time - it was incredible.
Though I will mention, simply because it was the nicest compliment I've ever received, that Garrett told me I should write a manual about how to organize a move and then distribute it to all the Elders Quorums throughout the church.
Thank you. Very. Much.

That compliment alone made the weeks and weeks and weeks of packing totally worth it.
We had so much help from friends leading up to the day of our move.
Jocelyn and Kristen came over and helped me pack several times.
Alissa and Amber and Britta and Jesslyn watched my girls while I packed.
And Rick and Jonathan and Owen helped us organize trailers to use in case we needed to transport things to the Crossett's house. We're so grateful for all of our helpers!

No sleep. So tired. So sad. But grateful for friends!

Moving day just happened to be the same day as graduation.
We headed over to campus to say hi to as many friends as we could find, and then met up with them at the Ice Cream park for one last treat.

These guys graduated a year after Rob, but were some of his greatest friends throughout Medical School and we are so happy for all of them and excited about their new adventures!
 Steven, Mitch, Matt, Pete, Rob

And these beautiful ladies are the best kinds of friends around.
(Of course they all look lovely after attending graduation,
and I look exhausted after loading our moving truck...)
 Laura, Ashley, Melissa, Meredith, Joelle
(Katrina had already headed home before we pulled the camera out!)
I'm told the tears will stop coming eventually! And I know they will. But for now, we're just really grateful to have gone through our Medical School experience with such wonderful, good people.
